Pension age disability payment
Pension age disability payment will replace attendance allowance in Scotland, starting from October 2024.
Pension age disability payment (PADP) is a new benefit which will replace attendance allowance for people living in Scotland, starting from October 2024. The rules about who qualifies will be very similar to the attendance allowance rules, although there will be some differences - for example, the definition of ‘terminal illness’. PADP will be administered by Social Security Scotland.
